Legal information, privacy, cookies, and marketing preferences
This page explains how Genuine Emotion Engine handles contact information, early access signups, privacy, marketing preferences, cookies, analytics, and use of this website.
Marketing Preferences
If you join Early Access or choose to receive updates from Genuine Emotion Engine, we may contact you about Gee, product progress, launch updates, invitations, and relevant news connected to the platform.
You can ask to stop receiving marketing communications at any time by contacting us using our Contact form.
Sending us a general contact message does not automatically place you on the Early Access list unless you explicitly choose that option.
Privacy & GDPR
Genuine Emotion Engine aims to handle personal data responsibly, transparently, and in line with applicable UK data protection law, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Depending on how you interact with the site, we may collect information such as:
- name
- email address
- contact form message content
- early access signup information
- technical information submitted for security and anti-spam purposes, such as IP address and user agent
We use this information to operate the website, respond to enquiries, manage Early Access, improve our services, protect the site from abuse, and prepare for future product, account, CRM, and subscription services.
We do not sell your personal data.
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, or ask for deletion where appropriate by contacting us using our Contact form.
Contact & Early Access Data
Genuine Emotion Engine currently uses its own website forms and database systems to manage contact enquiries and Early Access signups.
Information submitted through the website may be stored in internal CRM-style systems so we can maintain a consistent record of interactions, preferences, enquiries, and signups.
This helps us avoid fragmented records and supports a more consistent and respectful experience as the platform develops.
Cookies & Analytics
Genuine Emotion Engine uses a limited set of cookies to support functionality and, where consent is provided, to understand how the website is used.
We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site behavioural profiling, or third-party advertising networks.
How cookies are used
We currently use cookies for two main purposes:
1. Functional website behaviour
If you accept cookies, we may store cookies that remember how you interacted with the Early Access modal. For example:
- if you complete the Early Access signup form, we may store a cookie so the modal does not automatically appear again in that browser
- if you close the Early Access modal without signing up, we may store a cookie so it does not automatically reappear for a short period
2. Analytics (optional)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site, including page views, general usage patterns, and aggregated interaction data.
Analytics is not enabled by default. It is only enabled if you explicitly click Accept on the cookie banner.
Your choices
When you visit the site, you may see a cookie banner with three options:
- Accept — enables analytics and allows functional cookies to be stored in your browser
- Reject — analytics remains disabled and no optional cookies are stored
- Not Decided Yet — analytics remains disabled and no optional cookies are stored
If you reject cookies, choose not to decide, or do nothing, analytics remains disabled.
In those situations, the Early Access modal may appear again on future homepage visits, because the site is not able to remember your previous interaction.
Early Access modal behaviour
If you accept cookies and complete the Early Access form, the site may store a cookie so the modal does not automatically appear again in that browser.
If you accept cookies and close the Early Access modal without submitting the form, the site may store a short-lived cookie so the modal does not automatically reappear for a limited period.
Google Analytics
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga
to help distinguish users and sessions.
These cookies are only enabled after consent has been given.
For more information about Google’s privacy practices, see Google Privacy Policy.
